In 1990 Test Drive 3 - The Passion was released by Accolade and is now abandonware.
Description
The 'concept' of testdrive has been exploided in versions 1 and 2. Now a new dimension has been added to the game. You can drive wherever you want (on the road that is). You cross crossings and other roads. This time the game has been 'upgraded' to vectorgraphics. IMHO the game could do a bit better.

TD3 was a breakthrough game. It had some hirez cockpits and water effects. It also was a sandbox game, you could go anywhere you wanted. I aggree it was different from older Test Drive games but I loved this one also, played it for many hours on my 386dx.

Accolade lost their magic on this game. TD1 and TD2 were both fun and worth playing. This one was way too hard to control. Graphics are great, so it’s a pity you can’t control the car.

The functional accessories made this game amazing. Window wipers, radio with multiple funky music tracks, headlights, cops, squirrels and chickens that you can run over without crashing. |
