The problem i have with the game is the copyright protection. When you go to the mage's guild, you are asked a question about a map that came with the game, or ask about the game manual. If you dont respond correctly it will boot you out. I believe you need to mage's guild to level and to save, not sure. | |

I stayed up every night for weeks into the wee hours playing this. The music still haunts me and I just HAVE to play it again. Damn you, Bard’s Tale, damn you!!! | |

This game was tons of fun! Large maps to explore, lots of monsters, not easy to solve. Many hours of my youth were spent playing this game on the Commodore 64. | |

The Bard’s Tale was one of the best games ever made. The huge town of Skara Brae to explore, Monsters to defeat, dungeon’s to explore...with turn based combat and animated monster pics. Simply the best! Oh and make sure you order wine at the Scarlett Bard Tavern. | |
